I am a very lucky bunny because I was able to purchase some more dies after Christmas in the January sales and those dies are making my life a lot easier where sentiments are concerned lol! I have finally used up most of my very old magazine freebie papers, the 6x6” pads that come with a lot of magazines in the UK so I was able to start using a lovely new pad of paper for this card that I won from Di of the Snippets Playground. In fact I recently purchased another pad of 6x6” patterned paper because I noticed I had used so much of my really old stash up: yippee!! I still have some larger patterned paper sheets to use but I am finally feeling like I have used up the really old stuff at last!

This card was quick to create because I used snippets to practice stamping with my new Penny Black stamp and I already had the background ready to use exactly because of that reason too. I practiced with the Visible Image stencil and Distress paint when I first received the stencil, I just hadn’t created anything in that colour palette so hadn’t gotten around to using it. The stamp was inked with my Spectrum Aqua pens and I dried the stamped flower with the heat tool and once dry I coloured the background with Distress re-inkers. For a practice stamping and stencilling they worked better than I dared hope lol!

The sentiment was die cut from a left over snippet which had been coloured with watercolours in aqua. The twine is from my stash and the little metal heart is a really really old charm which worked perfectly with the pearls to add some embellishing to my card. Simples and another card finished and ready for a box that I am making up for my mum. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and comment. I really do it and I hope you get some time to do what you love to do soon ttfn Karen x
